The issue with that one, is the herrschers from PE
7:06 a.m.
but yeah, my guess is they pull the names out of a hat
7:06 a.m.
should it be herrscher of "Thunder", "Lightning", "Electricity"?
Avatar
Raven (-2M Social Credits) 2022-02-10 7:07 a.m.
they probably used a fantasy world item name generator on the internet or something

But yeah, the gem is then based off that herrscher. How they come up with the names, who knows
7:14 a.m.
I should also mention, that sometime Herrschers are just a combination of gems. Like Flamescion is a combo of a couple of gems (I think Void, Haste, Reason and Flame). Or Rimestar is a combined of Ice and Stars

Flamescion is complicated but it looks like she just used Reason and Sentience only in the Moon Halo cutscene but she only has Haste and Void regularly (edited)

sounds good, I wasn't sure if it was all the time or just during the "birth" of that specific Herrscher.

So, switching a to a different topic, I have a question about the Soulium stuff. It looks like it's more of a magic liquid that is used to create bodies that Otto has figured out how to put brains or souls in it. Is that what the stuff is or is it something else?

It is nanotechnology infused with Honkai that was found on the moon from the previous era

I just want to make sure that I understand what is going on for this chapter, especially one what is Otto's actual plan. I'll throw all of it within spoilers but if anyone has any other points, please let me know. After experiencing the Herrscher of Domination and their little pocket dimension to get to the Imaginary Tree He declares his retirement and that he will give the position to Theresa in order to lure their group over in order to really get the void powers from Kiana in that location After getting core of the HoDom by placing it in a clone of himself, he drains the power, he is now able to make full use of their pocket dimension go to the Imaginary Tree He banishes Durandal to the land of the Kaslanas where their stigma placed in the PE is the strongest. This, I don't think has alot to deal with his plan to revive or save Kallen, just so she knows about her past before he is about to die. I realize that Theresa uses the power of binding to stop Otto from turning back that one little section to when Kallen was killed, but I'm not sure that was his main objective, he seems to me to be the evil genius trope and something as obvious as the Oath of Judah shouldn't have been forgotten. After Durandal escaped the "prison", she and Kiana team up to fight Otto. Who has gone to the Imaginary Tree already and become some sort of drone to the will of the tree. At this point, he can't save Kallen because he is bound to it's will rather than what Otto wants to actually do When Kiana uses her void powers on Otto and the spear is driven through from Durandal, the will of the Imaginary Tree was severed and he was now able to change history, and even though he is now "dead" (ha!), he was able to set one timeline where Kallan actually lived.
7:17 a.m.
Also, is it just me, or does Otto have some twisted fatherly love toward those in his command. Granted, he is using them to get to his ultimate goal, but he seems to love those in his care. He gave knowledge to Durandal to save Siegfried as a later plot point, parting Durandal with the knowledge of who she actually is, letting Kiana have a place to stay within St. Freya, even going so far to say he made Theresa's Overseer garb by hand. He shows remorse for what he has done, but still continues.

From what I could gather his actual plan was to do what he did and not rewind only Kolosten and said all of that so that they can weaken him enough so that Shamash will kill whim which it did (edited)

right, my point is that the rewind part might have been a part of the plan, but not the end goal

the only purpose of the barrier was so that no one can get in and the purpose of the Nihilus seed was a fail safe

not just you tbh, he is a fatherly figure, just not a good one

tho i have to say, he's the perfect person to a villain, considering how close he is to others

He also allowed Ziggy and Cecilia to even have a honey moon
6:43 p.m.
And he's super soft towards Theresa

yeah, I didn't put everything down... just obvious stuff

Like when he used fenhuang down to alter her memories about Ziggy & Cecilia's death not only because he feared the Kaslana bloodline but because he knew Theresa would be extremely hurt if she found out Otto had to kinda nuke siberia

Lmao well idk bout that I like him a lot always have, great antagonist/anti hero in the later half but that does not take away from all the absolutely horrible things he's done for the past 5 centuries
6:46 p.m.
Ironic how he was able to coordinate his plan due to the will of honkai, the very thing that took Kallen away from him

And man it's amazing to think that honkai's had this set up since the 2nd eruption manga
6:47 p.m.
In the manga they literally say he doesn't find out what the will of honkai showed him until 10 years later which is right about now
6:48 p.m.
Which is a callout to his story arc
6:48 p.m.
Honkai's a masterpiece goddamn it (edited)

It was mainly to provoke but I believe he was originally actually gonna do that
6:49 p.m.
Because even Kevin kinda flat out says that he was absolutely planning to do it
6:49 p.m.
As such told Mei it wouldn't affect world serpent since they're in the sea of quanta

I'm not sure if that's their base. I wouldn't be surprised, but they didn't have access to the sea of quanta until Broyna went in to get Seele out. So, moving their whole base from wherever it was before then to the Sea of Quanta seems like a huge undertaking in a short period of time

That is their main base
6:58 p.m.
Kevin moved it there after escaping the sea of quanta from Bronya since he was sealed there for thousands of years
6:59 p.m.
And wdym? undertaking? moving their main base to the sea of quanta is by far the smartest and safest move
6:59 p.m.
It literally is one of the smartest things Kevin's done in game lol
7:00 p.m.
I mean iirc
7:00 p.m.
He moved it there after he talked to Otto
7:00 p.m.
After fighting with Durandal
7:00 p.m.
That was probably when he moved after hearing Otto's plan
7:00 p.m.
Since Otto did explain it to him before anyone
Avatar
I mean, that's conjecture. There is nothing in it talking about where his base would be. The only thing discussed would be that Otto gets the key and he also leaves the Schicksal and giving the Void Archives to Kevin. Besides, there wasn't really a single base of the World Serpent anyway. What I remember is that they have small labs or other facilities all over the world. Not to mention, the Sea of Quanta isn't the best place for "normal" people to be. However, if you say that Kevin resides there and it's the HQ, then sure, I can buy that. But, the Fu Hua (as HoS) went to Africa to beat up Jackal. (edited)

No Otto quite actually gets into the nitty great explaining the world lines and the divine tree

7:23 p.m.
What do you think MAIN base means? (edited)
7:24 p.m.
That's clearly what I was referring to Kevin doesn't need anyone to help him with anything
7:24 p.m.
Hence he told Mei it isn't going to affect world serpent
Avatar
I disagree that Kevin doesn't need anyone. Why else does he keep Mei and Jackal around? And also, why is Kevin in the African base and the two fight there? Fu Hua (or HoS) makes no mention of the Sea of Quanta at that time.
Avatar
Kevin literally only has Jackal and the others around because he was trapped in the sea of quanta (edited)
7:30 p.m.
World serpent was basically non existent before Kevin was freed
7:31 p.m.
They were literally always a thing for the past thousands of years and stayed hidden until Kevin was freed
7:31 p.m.
Kevin is stronger, smarter, has more information and is quite actually better than every single person in world serpent
7:31 p.m.
He quite actually does not need any of them
7:32 p.m.
He just has them there so he can operate more smoothly

That normally would be a fine conclusion to come to, but do you know just how much the game doesn't explain?
7:33 p.m.
They literally leave out nearly half the things regarding somethings at time
7:33 p.m.
So no just because it wasn't mentioned in game does not mean it isn't true or unlikely
Avatar
the game mentions that they were taken out of the base before the two fought. So how did they go from inside the base and then into the sea of quanta? The image you shown was from the chapter trailer, which isn't a reliable source of information.
